For careful shoeing of our horses, we also need the right quality tools, horseshoes, shoeing nails and farrier's tools. Our horses' hooves are fully developed by the age of 5 and shoeing, also known as ironing, is required every 6-8 weeks for horses that are regularly worked with a farrier, depending on the ground and the amount of time we work with the animals.
