Stiefel Electrolyte Liquid contains important minerals and trace elements such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Sodium and potassium are responsible for stable pressure in the body cells. Large amounts of electrolytes are lost due to profuse sweating at high temperatures or under high performance, as well as diarrhoea. A horse of around 600 kg can lose up to 35 litres of sweat in 5-7 hours on hot days. If this deficit is not replenished, it leads to a lack of energy and reduced performance. Since there is no storage space for electrolytes in the body, electrolytes must be supplied by food in the event of high temperatures and diarrhoea or after intense exercise.
The highly concentrated ingredients in Stiefel Electrolyte Liquid can compensate for this deficiency and contribute to faster recovery. In addition, Stiefel Electrolyte Liquid enriched with magnesium supports muscle metabolism.
Tip! Sufficient fibre feed should be provided for high performance demands and high temperatures, as the crude fibre in the gut binds water and thus acts as a silent reservoir.
Feeding notes:
To compensate for electrolyte loss due to excessive sweating:
Large horses (600 kg body weight) 50 ml - 100 ml per day
Small horses 30-60 ml per day
Recommended feeding period: 1-3 days
Make water freely available.
It is recommended to seek professional advice before feeding.
To stabilise the water and electrolyte balance during or after feeding if there is a risk of indigestion (diarrhoea):
Foal 50-100 ml per day
Recommended feeding period 1-7 days;
1 to 3 days as sole feed
It is recommended to seek veterinary advice before feeding.
Shake before use
