Metabolism deteriorates over time, which primarily means that weight loss must be prevented. Compared to a 10-year-old horse, the protein and energy needs of an old horse are, for example, 20% higher and the need for selenium doubles. The condition of the teeth must also be constantly checked. soaking the ration in water is recommended.

Senior Plus is a particularly valuable premium muesli, easily digestible, rich in nutrients and active shirtredients. Senior Plus contains cereals such as cereal flakes and fermented grains. Other valuable shirtredients: brewer's yeast, apple pomace, algae extract, flaxseed, wheat bran, pea and carrot flakes. These provide the horses with all the necessary nutrients. The especially carefully pressed active shirtredient pellets contain essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and trace elements in the required amount.

Old horses and horses recovering from illness always require special attention in feeding. Senior Plus with other products such as Mash, ProCaval-Struktur (S. 50) and Wiesen-Cobs ( S. 48) marstall offers a comprehensive, practically proven methodology in both problem areas.

If necessary, e.g. in case of dental problems or difficulty in chewing due to other causes, Senior Plus can also be fed soaked. Soaked ProCaval-Struktur and Wiesen-Cobs also replace fiber feed. A small amount of Mash optimizes the portion and improves digestion.

Another idea: Basically, in order to protect the vitamins, the soaking should never be done with hot water. Feed should always be freshly prepared and fed immediately. Of course, the appropriate soaking time must be ensured.
