Vito

New marsall-special feed for horses suffering from metabolic disorders. It is molasses-free, low in starch and sugar, contains no grains, but is rich in fiber and valuable nutrients. Taking into account the optimal supply, with all necessary vitamins, micro- and macro-elements and amino acids, even in small amounts. Made valuable with natural components such as carrot (organic beta-carotene) and tasty garlic flakes (metabolism, slag removal, insect protection).

Vito is based on the so-called structural carbohydrates ("NDF") and, as a feed low in sugar and starch, has a very low glycan and insulin index. This makes it ideal fodder for all horses that are allergic to starch, sugar or fructan sensitive.

Vito can be fed simultaneously for prevention and in accordance with veterinary treatments.

Due to the high crude fiber content, "crude fiber 19%", very good satiety can be achieved by feeding Vito for horses. Therefore, it is an ideal fodder for creating rations that are poor in nutrients.

If the horse cannot chew the fodder sufficiently or eats too quickly, it is advisable to feed Vito soaked (1 Liter Vito 1 Liter water).

With Vito, problematic horses can be properly fed for prevention purposes and also in acute cases!

Veterinarians are increasingly diagnosing symptoms such as glucose intolerance or insulin resistance in horses. These are the causes of developing appendicitis, PSSM, Cushing's Syndrome, EMS or holiday sickness.

According to the established opinion, the cause of patarisitis is the high protein content of pasture grass. The question is, why does the disease appear in the winter after being on pasture?

The large amount of fructans in the grass may be the cause of the disease.

Fructans are carbohydrate reserves of plants. Storage in the plant depends on light, temperature and moisture. If fructans, as rapidly decomposing carbohydrates, enter the horse's large intestine, they can cause disturbances in the functioning of intestinal microorganisms. They act like poisoning on the body and react by thickening the blood. The thick blood cannot flow through the capillaries of the hoof in sufficient quantity, which is why inflammation of the hoof can develop.

A very high fructan content was found in short-stemmed pasture grasses after sunrise after night frost. In such cases, there is a high risk of developing patarisitis.

According to scientific studies, feeding with easily digestible so-called structureless or otherwise easily digestible carbohydrates is not recommended in the case of patarisitis, PSSM, Cushing, EMS, or festive illness. Carbohydrates without structure are starches, sugar parts from abras, fruits and fructans. If the feed ration contains a larger amount of such substances, the aforementioned metabolic reactions can be triggered in horses prone to this. Therefore, it is recommended to feed sensitive horses with a feed mixture containing structured carbohydrates.
